Starting in 2024, Gloves Off features interviews with retired goalkeepers in American soccer. Highlighting the forgotten moments, standards of the times, and highs/lows with the goalkeeper’s career, Gloves Off aims to be a historical documentation of top goalkeepers from eras that came and went before the advent of social media. As the modern game continues to evolve the position of goalkeeping, Gloves Off looks to capture the stories of the pioneers in American soccer.

Which School is Goalkeeper U?
At the end of 2025, Inside the 18 had a two-part discussion on deciding “Which School is ‘Goalkeeper U’?” The discussion was centered around a bracket of 64 schools facing off in the roundtable’s opinion of which school had the best history of showcasing and producing top goalkeepers. Each school was whittled down to their top seven goalkeepers and the roundtable of goalkeeper coaches picked the winner in each pairing.
